Celebrating America’s Birthday at
Universal alloy Corporation US

While the United States is currently welcoming the world for the FIFA Club World Cup, another remarkable milestone has recently brought people together across the country: America's 250th birthday.

On July 4, Americans celebrated 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776—a moment to reflect on the nation's history, its achievements, and the people who continue to shape its future. At UAC US, the anniversary provided an opportunity to celebrate not only this historic milestone, but also the company's own journey.

Founded in 1961 as a small tool and die shop in Southern California, Universal Alloy Corporation US initially manufactured the metal type slugs used in typewriters. As American industry evolved and the aerospace sector entered a new era of innovation, UAC US evolved alongside it. The company's move into aluminum extrusions laid the foundation for decades of growth and specialization.

Today, Universal Alloy Corporation US is the global market leader in hard alloy extrusions for the aerospace industry, supplying materials for some of the world's most advanced aircraft and aerospace programs.

The company’s history reflects a spirit often associated with the United States: starting small, continually reinventing itself, and consistently turning opportunities into success.

To mark the anniversary, employees at the US site enjoyed a classic American tradition throughout the week leading up to Independence Day. During shift changes, freshly prepared boiled peanuts were served, giving colleagues from every shift a chance to stop, connect, and celebrate together. Each employee also received a limited-edition commemorative cup to remember America's 250th birthday.

The celebration wasn't just about history - it was about people. Our US ColleagUes shared what the milestone means to them:

“America's 250th birthday means spending time with family and friends while honoring the freedoms, traditions, and opportunities that make our nation unique.” Bobby

"As an immigrant, America's 250th birthday is especially meaningful to me. It represents opportunity, freedom, and hope. I'm grateful to call America home and proud to be part of its ongoing story." Isabelle

"It's a reminder of the sacrifices that made freedom and opportunity possible and a chance to celebrate our communities while building an even stronger future together." James

The appreciation extended beyond the celebration itself.

As our collegue Nick put it: "I've never had a company do so much for their employees. Thank you!"‍ ‍
