Strong First Half of 2026
On 13 August, we published our financial results for the first half of the year. As a publicly listed company, we regularly and transparently report on our business development and financial performance.
Our half-year financial report provides an overview of how our company performed during the first six months of the year, the progress we have made, and where we stand today.
Here, we have summarized the key information and results for you.
Our Shared Course Is Paying Off
Producing more, growing profitably and becoming financially stronger at the same time: Montana Aerospace looks back on a successful first half of 2026. Behind these numbers, above all, is one thing – the daily work of our teams at our locations around the world.
The aerospace industry is growing – and we are growing with it. In the first half of 2026, we generated net sales of EUR 518.4 million, an increase of 11.7% compared with the same period last year. At the same time, our EBITDA, an important measure of our operating profitability, increased by 12.2% to EUR 87.1 million.
Put simply: we not only generated more sales, but also became more profitable. Higher production volumes, improved utilization of our facilities, additional market share and consistent cost control all contributed to this performance.
What’s Behind the Numbers
Numbers alone, however, do not build aircraft components or deliver products to our customers. Behind this development are thousands of colleagues who make sure our programs run successfully every day – in production and quality, engineering, logistics and procurement, as well as in sales, finance and all supporting functions.
This operational performance is crucial. Our customers require increasing volumes while maintaining high expectations for quality, on-time delivery and efficiency. The fact that we have continued to grow and improve our profitability in this environment shows that our collective efforts are delivering results.
“Our strong first half is the result of very good operational performance. What is particularly important to me is that behind every metric are our teams and the work they do every day. Higher production rates, improved utilisation and consistent execution are now increasingly reflected in our results. I would like to express my sincere thanks to all our colleagues for what we have already achieved together. At the same time, we still see significant potential to build on this progress and further improve our operational performance.
Another important step was the significant strengthening of our balance sheet. This has provided us with a very solid foundation for the next steps. Our focus now is on selectively capturing the attractive opportunities in our markets and translating our strong position into sustainable, profitable and cash-generative growth.”
Patrick Maurer, CFO of Montana Aerospace
A Strong Order Backlog
Looking ahead also gives us confidence. Our order backlog stands at more than EUR 7 billion, while demand across Commercial Aerospace, Defence and Space remains strong. For us, this means above all that our customers are relying on our products, expertise and production capabilities for the long term. To meet this demand, we plan to invest a total of EUR 60 to 80 million in 2026 and 2027 to expand capacity and further improve the margin profile of our key production sites. These investments will focus, among other things, on increasing capacity, further developing our processes and strengthening our competitiveness.
A Stronger Financial Foundation
Another important step forward is our balance sheet. Following the sale of the Energy segment, we are now clearly focused on our aerospace business across Aviation, Defence & Space. At the same time, we reduced our net debt to EUR 64.7 million by the end of June. Our goal remains to achieve a net cash position by the end of 2026 – meaning that, on balance, our cash and cash equivalents exceed our financial debt. Our targets for 2026 and 2027 also remain unchanged. For 2026, we expect net sales of more than EUR 1 billion and adjusted EBITDA of more than EUR 185 million. For 2027, our target is to achieve more than EUR 1.1 billion in net sales and more than EUR 210 million in adjusted EBITDA.
The Course Is Set – Now It’s About Execution
A record order backlog and strong demand provide us with an excellent starting point. What matters, however, is what we make of these opportunities. The coming months will therefore continue to be characterized by increasing production rates and strong delivery performance, combined with a consistent focus on quality and efficiency.
The first half shows that we are on course. And this success is created wherever people work for our customers every day – at our machines, on our production floors, in our engineering and project teams, and across all the functions that support them.
Thoughtfully crafted to elevate what matters most.
