Our 2026 Talent Program is officially underway!
by Lori Thompson, Vice President Human Resources UAC US
Beginning of September, Talent Program participants from across the globe, representing Vietnam, Romania, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, and the United States, came together in the beautiful setting of Traunkirchen, Austria, for this years Talent Program kickoff workshop.
While many Talents were meeting for the first time, it did not take long for strong connections and relationships to begin forming across countries, functions, and cultures.
Tackling real business challenges
During the workshop, participants were introduced to and selected the strategic projects they will be working on throughout the 8-month program. Collectively, this year's projects align around a compelling challenge:
How can we leverage data, technology, and innovative thinking to create a safer, higher-quality, and more efficient aerospace manufacturing enterprise?
Building skills for the journey ahead
Connecting across countries, functions, and cultures
To help prepare the Talents for success, the workshop included an overview of project management fundamentals as well as training and practice in presentation skills.
These capabilities will support participants as they collaborate with their teams, navigate their projects, and develop innovative solutions to real business challenges.
Over the next eight months, the Talents will work together to research, develop, and refine their recommendations before presenting their final solutions to the Group Management Board during the Program Finale next year.
One of the most encouraging themes that emerged from the kickoff was hearing how quickly participants began building relationships with one another.
The enthusiasm, collaboration, and energy displayed throughout the workshop created a strong foundation for the months ahead.
With a shared commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and learning, this year's cohort is well-positioned for an exciting and rewarding experience!
