Celebrating America’s Birthday at
Universal alloy Corporation US

The smell of freshly prepared boiled peanuts filled the break area during shift change, as colleagues from different shifts crossed paths—some stopping by for a cup on their way home, while others picked up a serving as they arrived to start their workday.  With limited-edition commemorative cups in hand, conversations ranged from family traditions to what America's 250th birthday means to each of them.

At UAC US, the celebration of Independence Day became much more than marking a historic anniversary - it became a moment to connect.

On July 4, the United States celebrated 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. While the country welcomed visitors from around the world during the FIFA Club World Cup, Americans also took time to reflect on the nation's history, achievements and future.

At the Universal Alloy Corporation US locations, that milestone resonated in a special way.

Founded in 1961 as a small tool and die shop in Southern California, the company has grown alongside the American aerospace industry. From manufacturing metal type slugs for typewriters to becoming the global market leader in hard alloy extrusions for aerospace applications, UAC US has built its success through decades of craftsmanship, reliability and customer focus.

To celebrate America's 250th birthday, employees across all shifts came together throughout the week leading up to Independence Day. Freshly prepared boiled peanuts – a classic American tradition – were served during shift changes, giving colleagues the opportunity to connect across teams and departments. Every employee also received a limited-edition commemorative cup as a keepsake of the historic anniversary.

While the food and festivities created a memorable atmosphere, it was the conversations that made the celebration truly special. Colleagues shared personal reflections on what America's 250th birthday means to them – from gratitude and family traditions to opportunity, community and hope for the future.

The celebration wasn't just about history
- it was about people.

Our US colleagues shared what the milestone means to them:

“America's 250th birthday means spending time with family and friends while honoring the freedoms, traditions, and opportunities that make our nation unique.” Bobby

UAC, Canton

"As an immigrant, America's 250th birthday is especially meaningful to me. It represents opportunity, freedom, and hope. I'm grateful to call America home and proud to be part of its ongoing story." Isabelle

"It's a reminder of the sacrifices that made freedom and opportunity possible and a chance to celebrate our communities while building an even stronger future together." James

UAC, Ballground

The appreciation extended beyond the celebration itself.

As our collegue Nick put it: "I've never had a company do so much for their employees. Thank you!"‍ ‍
