From Feedback to Action
SpeakUp does not end with the survey.
The next phase is all about discussing results together and turning feedback into meaningful actions that improve our workplace.
As of 21 October, all people leaders received access to their team’s results in the Gallup Access platform.
We expect all managers to plan a team session in the coming weeks to review results together and build meaningful action plans as a team.

Results & Follow-Up
-
Employee engagement is more than job satisfaction. Engaged employees are involved in, enthusiastic about and committed to their work. Engagement helps create stronger teams, better collaboration and a better workplace for everyone.
-
SpeakUp helps us understand what employees experience in their day-to-day work and identify opportunities to improve.
Research shows that engaged employees work safer, are more customer-focused, more productive and more likely to stay with their organization. The goal is not simply to measure satisfaction, but to help create a stronger workplace for all employees.
-
Interpret each item in terms of what it means to you. What the item means to you depends on your role in your organization and what is important to you in your role.
-
Rate your current work environment. Whether you have been with your organization or in your current role for 10 months or 10 years, you should rate your current work environment.
About the Survey
-
Managers will receive access to the results from 21 October and will discuss them with their teams in the weeks shortly after.
-
To protect confidentiality, Gallup only generates reports when a minimum number of employees have participated.
If a team does not meet the reporting threshold, results are combined with a larger group so that confidentiality remains protected.
-
Gallup will analyze the responses and prepare aggregated reports. All managers with a sufficient number of respondents to the survey receive employee engagement results, which provide a summary for their workgroup and area of the business.
Managers will then discuss the results with their teams and work together to create action plans focused on the most important improvement opportunities.
-
Yes. SpeakUp is designed as a continuous improvement process.
Listen → Understand → Act → Follow Up
The survey is only the first step. The real value comes from the conversations, actions and improvements that follow. Results will be reviewed, discussed and translated into action plans at both local and company levels. Regular follow-up conversations will help ensure that actions are implemented and progress is monitored over time.
-
Teams will identify priorities on which they will work on throughout the year and create action plans together.
-
Everyone.
After results are shared, managers and employees will work together to discuss the findings and identify priorities for improvement. Action planning is most effective when everyone has the opportunity to contribute.
Also employees who weren’t eligible to participate in the survey, can join the team discussion about the results and participate in the action planning, as you will work on these actions throughout the coming year.
-
Not every suggestion can be implemented immediately, but all feedback helps identify priorities and opportunities for improvement. During your team discussions, you identify together the main priorities to focus on and implement throughout the coming year.
-
During team discussions together with your manager, you agree upon actions that need to be taken. These actions will be formulated in an action plan you build together as a team. Managers will discuss agreed actions with their teams and updates will be shared throughout the year.
-
Gallup is a global leader in employee engagement research and workplace analytics. Their scientifically validated methodology helps organizations understand employee engagement and identify opportunities to create stronger workplaces.
